Living in Tucson, I get the pleasure of seeing riders on horseback nearly everyday. 

Makes it feel like the wild, wild west. 

In fact, Tucson Rodeo is coming up.

"Each February since 1925, Tucsonans saddle their horses, hitch up their buggies 

and shine their cowboy boots for the Celebration of the Cowboys. 

February 19-27, marks the 86th Annual La Fiesta de los Vaqueros, 

a nine-day event highlighted by the Tucson Rodeo, a six-day professional rodeo."

Many businesses are closed and the schools even give the kids a few days off!

I'm taking my son this year, and it's our first time, so I'm really looking forward to it!

I'm working on some pieces for an upcoming show, 

and I'll be exhibiting some of my split style -

a little glamorous and a little bohemian.

Remember when kids could play in the street out in front of the house?

A car would slowly come down the road and someone would yell, "CAR!"

All the kids would run up on the sidewalks and when the car passed, and

everyone would run back out into the street and pick up where they left off.

Please pay attention to the road.

Put away your cell phone, don't worry about those emails,

and for goodness sake, update your status later!!!
